• Neither, JD: when you have a bridge installed, it operates on its own proprietary wireless network apart from your broadband Wi-Fi. Without the bridge, however, this is essentially a “dumb” switch.

• Casetta doesn't do Wifi. you need a base station hard-wired into your router. If this is your first switch you probably want a starter kit instead.
