• That entirely depends on what you're looking to do. It comes with the basic Apple branded office applications but I'd recommend the Microsoft Office 365 suite at a minimum.

• We bought the Microsoft Office Home & Student permanent package two years ago for an earlier generation Mac computer and them migrated the software to our new Mac Book Air using the Mac migration app. No need to buy annual subscriptions for Office products if you do this one time purchase.
