“This might sound dumb, it says stereo speakers, so there aren't speakers built in? I am buying this as a gift for my husband who only uses his current computer for checking email, paying bills. Is it a big issue if there isn't a fan? I'm new to Apple”

It doesn’t seem that he’s a power user and a laptop without a fan won’t be an issue at all for him. My kids have in fact played video games on this machine and the laptop didn’t overheat for once. The speakers are pretty good on this machine. I’d say this is the best value for money Mac deal for casual users
