As far as I can tell it's perfect. You upgrade the iOS so any laptop you have is running on the latest software, no matter the release date. Also just because it was a 2020 model doesn't mean it was created that year. They continue to produce models outside the years, so you're getting a brand new computer with the latest software. What it doesn't have is whatever new thing Apple released after this model. My last Apple lasted 8 years. If you're only doing basic word processing and internet stuff, you don't need to upgrade all the time. If you're doing more than that, then you probably want a Pro model.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.MacBooks don’t age like Windows machines. I have a couple of older (2012 and 2015) MacBooks that work great and can be easily upgraded if you have the know how. The newer MacBooks are not as easily upgraded unfortunately.
