Apple's Mx chips are a much more efficient design than the Intel chips. This efficiency lets the Mx-based Macs do more with less. I have this same laptop with the same amount of RAM and use Final Cut Pro on it; it performs significantly better than my previous i7-based MBP with the same amount of RAM. So unless you plan on doing some really intensive tasks, 16 GB will be plenty.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on what you plan to use it for. I run an emulator on Android Studio, while watching videos, and listening to music and it gets up to around 13 GB usage. If you plan to run a dual boot program like Parallels for windows gaming and apps, I recommend 32 GB for sure.
