  • QuestionThis amp also acts as a streamer, doesn't it? I don't need to pair another streamer to it, correct?

    Asked by Tony.

    • Answer Hello Tony. You are correct. No need to add another streamer. The Marantz M1 simplifies your audio system by providing two channels of amplification, HDMI ARC, and a Subwoofer output. Music streaming is made possible with the free HEOS app, Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2, or Bluetooth. The M1 accepts a Wi-Fi signal or a wired ethernet connection. With HEOS, other current support includes Pandora, Spotify, TuneIn, SiriusXM, Amazon Music, Tidal, Tidal HiRes, iHeartRadio, Deezer, Deezer HiFi, Mood:Mix, Sony Hi-Res, AWA, QPlay, SoundCloud.

  • QuestionDoes this amplifier have a dedicated phono input for turntable?

    Asked by Gene.

    • Answer Hello Gene. Despite not having a dedicated phono input for a turntable, the Model M1 does have a dedicated analog input. If you have a turntable with a built-in phono pre-amp, or if you have an external phono pre-amp for your turntable, the Model M1 does support vinyl/LP playback.

  • QuestionCan an android phone link up to it via Bluetooth to watch YouTube? Also can a turntable hook up to it? Ty

    Asked by Thnghynh.

    • Answer Hello. A turntable can be connected to the Model M1. If the turntable does not have a built-in phono pre-amp (some do not), then an optional phono pre-amp will need to be purchased to sit between the turntable and the Model M1 from a connectivity point of view. An Android phone can stream Bluetooth to the Model M1. Bluetooth is best used as an audio-only source as Bluetooth does not currently have the bandwidth to deliver an audio and a video signal without potential latency issues.

  • QuestionHigh pass for sub out?

    Asked by Bobb.

    • Answer I believe the Marantz Model M1 has a low pass filter for the sub out and a high pass filter for the main speakers. The unit is 2.1 ready! The sub out level should be easily accessed and controled via the HEOS screen for "now playing". I hope this helps and if there is any error on my part perhaps the Marantz folks will assist.
