“I currently have an SR7008 and planning to upgrade. Even though this model does not come with a set up microphone, can you use one for advanced setup? If not, how do you fine tune the surround sound to the room?”

The Marantz SR6014 does have a setup microphone and a cardboard tripod. The setup is super easy and takes about 15-30 minutes depending on the # of speaker you have.

Please try again later.you run audyssey manually, download a DB measurement app on iPhone/android and use test tone on AVR for each speaker, go to sitting position and increase the volume until your reading of db reaches 75. do this for all speakers.this way all speaker should level is same based on distance form sitting position.
