A:AnswerHello Mike. The Dishwasher model MDB4949SKZ does include a drain hose for installation per page 8 of the Owner's Manual. We hope this information is helpful.
A:AnswerWe are sorry to hear about your concern with your Dishwasher. Pease see some troubleshooting tips for this concern.
Is the water turned on?
The water supply must be completely open to wash and rinse the dishes properly.
Are you using rinse aid?
The use of rinse aid is very important. Using a rinse aid will optimize your drying and wash performance. Your dishwasher is specifically designed to use liquid rinse aid for improved drying performance and to control the buildup of hard water deposits. https://youtu.be/LPm_ZtsGvoE
Are you using the high-temperature wash option?
Consider using a high-temperature wash option. This option raises the main wash temperature to improve cleaning for loads containing tough, baked-on food. https://youtu.be/lfpd3GpafbI
Are you using the heated dry option?
This option dries dishes with heat. This option, with the use of a rinse aid, will provide the best drying performance. Heated Dry will NOT dry plastic articles or remove all the moisture from convex-bottomed items.
What type of detergent should I use?
High-quality pre-measured tablets and packs are recommended for improved performance.
Quality tablets and packs have been proven better than powder, liquid, or gel detergents at reducing filming on dishes. Using tablets and packs over time will start to reduce or eliminate white film. They are suitable for all water hardness and soil levels. Also, by using rinse aid, you can minimize the repeat buildup of the white film (not all packs and tablets contain rinse aid). Always place pre-measured detergents in the main compartment and close the lid.
The Pre-Wash indicator on the dispenser lid is for customers who use powder or gel detergent and wish to add an amount of detergent to the Pre-Wash cycle. The volume of detergent added here is approximately eight cubic centimeters if filled full and level. Any detergent added here would be immediately added to the wash when the cycle starts, versus detergent inside the dispenser, which is added during the main wash cycle.
NOTE: Follow the instructions on the package when using other dishwasher detergent types.
Use automatic dishwasher detergent only. Add detergent just before starting a cycle.
Fresh automatic dishwasher detergent results in better cleaning.
Store the detergent in a tightly closed container and place it in a cool, dry place.
Extremely hard water mineral deposits (15 grains per U.S. gallon or more) can damage your dishwasher and make good results difficult to achieve. A water softener is recommended to avoid damage and achieve good results.
Have you cleaned the dishwasher?
Extremely hard water mineral deposits can cause damage to your dishwasher and make it difficult to achieve good cleaning. A water softener is strongly recommended if your hardness is 15 grains or more.
Use affresh® Dishwasher Cleaner (or another dishwasher cleaning product) or a white vinegar rinse to remove white spots and film. Depending on the severity of the spots more than one treatment may be required.
Cleans even where you can't see
affresh® cleans deep inside your appliances reaching components such as the tub, racks, pump, valves, drain, and recirculation hoses.

Was the dishwasher newly installed?
If you are receiving the F8E4 error code and the dishwasher was recently installed, check the following: https://youtu.be/OlND4BsYYaM
Do you see water?
Is the water supply connected correctly?
Check all the connection points. Be sure the rubber washer is properly seated in the fitting for any connection point. Slide the 3/4" (19 mm) fitting of the 90° elbow up to the valve and hand-tighten it to avoid cross-threading. Hand-tighten until the coupling is tight. Using pliers, check the tightness of the coupling. An additional 1/4 to 1/2 turn may be required to seal the rubber gasket. Make sure to route the fill hose out the rear left side of the unit. https://youtu.be/FP0981p6Fl8
Is the float switch connected?
Ensure the float switch is properly connected. Also, ensure that the power supply wire or cord does not touch the dishwasher motor or the lower part of the dishwasher tub. Reconnect the float switch by aligning the connector with the connector housing and pushing in until the locking tab is visible over the back of the connector.
Does the drip tray need to be emptied?
If you see water in the drip tray, it must be emptied.
To remove the drip pan assembly, press the snap at each side of the plastic tray in toward the center of the product and pull toward yourself. Take caution not to pull too far or too hard as the float switch wire is still connected at this time and pulling too far or hard can damage the wire. https://youtu.be/t5_g-zSnw9Q

Are there excessive suds?
Dishwashing detergent does not create suds, but dish soap does. If suds, bubbles, or soap foam are present when you open your dishwasher, turn off the dishwasher and allow suds to dissipate. Using the wrong type or too much detergent can cause over-sudsing. The suds may push water out of the dishwasher, causing leaking or poor wash performance. Use only detergent specifically designed for automatic dishwashers.
Dishwashers should be cleaned approximately every 30 days for optimal performance. Using affresh® Dishwasher Cleaner every month will help keep your dishwasher from filming and spotting and keep the interior clean and free of odors. https://youtu.be/yL_3IevWR-8

A:AnswerNo that's not a problem that's what mine does. I also use the quick cycle.
FYI make sure you run the hot water in the kitchen sink before starting the wash cycle. You get a better clean because of the water temp...
