Questionwe just set up our new dishwasher....why can't I push the buttons. nothing lights up... it does nothing. it was stuck on delay wash when we first set it up. now we can't get it to do anything

- Answer To do anything when nothing works make sure you touch the cancel button for at least 4 seconds to reset the unit.

QuestionHow do I remove the upper (middle?) rack so I can drill holes for mounting? It is in the way of my drill.

QuestionModel MDB8989SHZ. After a few loads, mine only shows the blue washing light (during washing). And, it won’t stop drying-or at least it was drying for 12+ hours before I stopped it, but it restarted 5-10 minutes later. What is wrong and how do I fix it?

QuestionDoes this machine have a DELAY feature where you can set it to run at a later time - my current washer can be set to start anywhere from 1 to 9 hours from now and I use this feature too often to buy a machine without it? Also, How long can you set it for?

QuestionCan you make your selection and press start with the door open since the options are on the top part of the door?

- Answer Katie, on dishwasher, select the wash cycle and options desired. To run the Auto cycle, press the START keypad twice. Within 4 seconds of pressing START keypad you must firmly push the door closed. If the door is not closed within 4 seconds, the START light will flash, an audible tone will be heard, and the cycle will not start.

QuestionWhy are my dishes still completely wet? I was told this dishwasher should completely dry them!

- Answer Hello 1busymom! Please make sure that you are using a Rinse Aid with your unit. Your dishwasher is designed to use rinse aid for good drying performance. Without rinse aid, your dishes and dishwasher interior will have excessive moisture. The Heat Dry option will not perform as well without rinse aid. For most water conditions, the factory setting will give good results. However, if you are experiencing poor drying performance, you may want to try a higher setting. Turn the arrow adjuster inside the dispenser to change rinse aid setting.

QuestionOn the best buy site this dishwasher is listed as panel ready (capable of taking a custom cabinet panel) is this true since it doesn't have a remove-able handle? Also can you remove the third rack if needed?

- Answer Odd, as mine does not have a handle on the front, but perhaps your model does. I cannot address that part, but I can address the 3rd rack (top) removal question. Yes, it is very easily removed. the front edge of the slider rails have a plastic piece that flips out and allowed the rack to easily be removed.

- Answer Hello thefamilyshopper. The light will go off once the door has been opened or the cancel button has been pressed. You are not able to disable the light. We hope this helps!

QuestionMy daughter has another brand of DW with top of door control panel . She has had to replace control panel twice in 3 yrs due to moisture shorting it out. Has anyone had this issue with this machine?(Maytag 24"top control Builtin SStub)

QuestionWhy is the compartment for adding Rinse Aid so tiny? It is impossible to squint Rinse Aid into such a tiny compartment without it also going outside the compartment.
