Does the lid crack or break easily? null

The lid glass itself is durable, but the hinge design is greatly flawed. The area where the metal hinge goes into, is very weak and breaks. I noticed our was broke yesterday, after trying to figure out why the "closed lid sensor was not making up. I did some online research and apparently this is not uncommon.
