“Does this have a "soak" option? Does the tub drain if you open the lid and just let it sit, full of water?”

• The machine turns off after a few minutes of not being in use, and it drains. I am still trying to figure out if there is a way around this for soaking.

• I just spoke with Maytag regarding a soaking option. These washers do NOT have one, so there is no way to soak clothes unless you have a laundry room sink and a mop to clean up the floor after you transfer sopping wet clothes to the washer.

• Just push pause and keep the lid closed and you can soak as long as you want. If you leave the lid open, after about 10 minutes it will drain and turn off.

• No There is no soak option that you can set, however certain cycles have a built-in soak time. If the unit is paused and you lift the lid the water will just stay, I guess that could be a "manual" soak cycle if you want.......

• It does not fill with water. It aays the clothes down then fills to the top of the clothes, wich I ha be found to be about a third of the tub

• Refer to previous answer. It’s easy. Just push pause and do t open the lid. It will stay paused until you hit the start button
