Mike- The agitator will only be activated during agitation cycle not during rinse and spin. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not sure about the response from Mike at Maytag. With all settings my machine agitates as it fills with water (while clothes are still dry!) . The manual says the machine will sense, fill and move the clothes which means agitate. I feel this is misleading. If it said agitate before clothes are wet I would not have purchased this. My machine also agitates during the rinse cycle. It does not agitate during spin.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Always, the power wash cycle is for breaking up dirt off of clothes etc.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The agitator isn't always engaged. There are period of time during the entire cleaning cycle when the agitator isn't turning. The agitator is engaged during the Normal and Bedding cycles, for example, but I don't know about the Power Wash cycle since I haven't used it yet (but I suspect it would be since the agitator is suppose to be a key part of the cleaning process).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That's the noise - making when it is spinning
