• Haven't got this machine per se, but since I was researching it, the door opening cannot be switched from left to right. This info is from reviews of other users at home depot who returned because it was inconvenient for them

• you cannot change the handle. you have to change the brackets for the door. it's not hard at all.

• No it only goes one way - opens on right closes on right. Have had machine month and half! Works beautifully!

• No, and it opens right to left. It's a bit of a pain but I love this machine so much that I don't mind reaching over the drawer to the dryer.
