“I smell gas from the inside of the dryer it is new and was checked by hvac company that there were no gas leaks outside of dryer. Is this common? Should I return?”

I would return. Might be something within dryer that’s wrong. Besides don’t put your family at risk

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Honestly anytime you smell gas you should fully check the entire dryer inside and out. Most of the time the gas company will do a complete check for little or no money. do this before you return the dryer and if problem persists then return the dryer. Most likely it's a loose connection.
