• If you have other AV software (Norton, etc) installed, you will need to remove it. The only thing you do not need to worry about is Windows preinstalled firewall and security. They will detect your McAfee software and adjust themselves to work with the new software. Use your software's uninstall option and don't forget to restart your computer afterward to complete the software removal. If windows security pops up and asks if you want to allow McAfee software to make changes, click allow.
