Basically it does not replace your cable tv box but allows you to "cut the cord" retain the ability to record free to air TV.

• A:Answer No, this is for receiving ATSC digital signal from OTA stations. It does allow recording content from OTA or pausing (time shift) to some USB connected FAT32 storage. You can remove the USB storage and watch on Windows 10 computers.
