• I adjusted via my receivers settings. You may have to play around the same I did.

• Yes, when mine was installed buy geek squad auto they gave me pretty good distance and informed me if u go into settings I could edit the distance for a wider view. Also you can change the amount of space between the car behind you. For example if you feel the auto setting is to close or not close enough you can move it also in the settings. I hope this helps.
