Not all is lost as Blue tooth works with windows 10 on laptops. A Insignia receiver is available if you loose the one that comes with the mouse. The latest version of the mouse does not even come with a receiver.

You CAN buy generic Bluetooth nano-receivers, and this will work with "some" of them. I have one Bluetooth nano-receiver, and I have successfully paired four different Bluetooth keyboards to it. My question is, WHY don't they build a small storage compartment into the keyboard body to STORE the small USB receiver when nit in use?!?

I wont swear to this ,but Im pretty sure mine worked with the Logitech universal trans unifying device--that is before I smashed the arc into little pieces
