• If the console is in rest mode, yes it will charge. Have the console on, plug the cable in to charge, turn off the console.

• yup i charge mine all the time while the xbox is off, simply plug it in then your xbox will turn on then just make sure that your power mode in settings is set to instant on and then just turn off your xbox
