The model you are questioning has a Intel Core M3, which will be slower than an i5. Check the minimum specifications for the software you are hoping to run and see if the Surface device meets or exceeds those. It has a M3 Intel processor, which was designed for mobile computing. It is not super fast and I do not know if it would fit your business needs, but I would recommend you to buy the one with the I5 processor. It is a bit more expensive, but has a last generation I5 processor.
