I just purchased this for my surface laptop 3 and my two HP HD monitors would not work. When going to Microsoft help forum, this turned out to be a common issue with no easy solution. The product worked for some people, but others had to go into advanced settings or update the firmware, some people had to buy new cables. and for some silly reason one solution was that you had to flip the adapter cord over. All being said, if you want simple plug and play this may not be your product. I spent over an hour trying to resolve and decided that if it is this much hassle to setup then it is not worth the price. I am returning my item today or tomorrow.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should work with any Surface that takes the standard surface connector. I have used Surface Pro X and Surface Go with it. The dock has two Type C monitor ports. You either need Type C to HDMI adapters or cables.
