Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I got a little confused when looking around so thought I would make it super clear. There's 1 USB - C port on the right side, just above the surface connect slot. It's not thunderbolt, but you can charge the surface through it. Not particularly fast, but I did it in my car with one of those car lighter adapter and a USB-C cord. There's 1 Micro SD card slot. Easy to use to expand storage if you want. The new ones (Surface X) Does not have one of these. There's 1 Surface connect slot. You can use this with the dock they sell if you want. I haven't but if you needed it to connect to a lot of things it's probably a good idea as it charges your surface as well. Some notes: I've heard you can use a USB-C to HDMI adapter easily for video out. I plan to do this and expect it's great. If you add an SD card you can mount it as an internal drive with a google query that will walk you through the process. Worth it as things like onedrive and such won't work on removable drives but they will work on mounted drives. I have a 125GB USB drive that has both legacy and USB-C connections from here on Best Buy. it get's a little hot, but a lifesaver on this should you use it traveling. You only have to transfer once.
