A:AnswerI paid a lot of money for my surface and it stopped working after 2 years. The warranty was up and they wanted me to pay $600 to replace it with a refurbished one that comes with a 3 month warranty. I laughed. I'll never buy a Microsoft computer of any kind again.
A:AnswerI had a Core I7 Surface Pro 3 and that ran really hot, lots of fan noise. But my new Surface Pro is running very cool and I have yet to find it hot in the 2 weeks since I purchased it and I would consider myself a power user.
A:Answer15 days. After that, you won't be able to return it at all. There is a small possibility they would do a trade in (like they do with cellhpones) for a couple hundred bucks on a gift card. If you're an elite member you have 30 days.
A:AnswerThere is a NIC but it is wifi only....no physical plug-in. You need to buy the docking station in order to get a hardwired network card (and display ports) or purchase a USB NIC dongle. Based on the location of the ports and whether or not you plan to travel with it, it might be a good idea to buy both. I don't see the USB port standing up to repeated plugging/unplugging of a dongle given the high location on the right side of the tablet.
A:AnswerI would say yes, but I am not sure. If you are getting a Surface Pro 4, it comes with a stylus. It is the 2017 model that does not include the stylus.
A:AnswerLike everything else you get a trial of Office 365. If your company uses Office 365 you may have access to your site license. Log into your Outlook Webmail, click on the Gear in the upper right hand corner, and go down to Office 365. Under install it will tell you if you have access to download it to your personal device.
A:AnswerSurface tablet is a standard Windows based computer. If you get one with Windows 10S -- upgrade to Windows 10 Pro.
FYI, Windows 10 Home most likely can't work on office network, check with your local IT

A:AnswerThis is a great laptop for engineering; only issue I have run into is loading a driver for ClickShare. We use the ClickShare 200 Series model and for some reason the driver will cause Windows 10 to crash. Outside of that the performance has been great.
