I had a Core I7 Surface Pro 3 and that ran really hot, lots of fan noise. But my new Surface Pro is running very cool and I have yet to find it hot in the 2 weeks since I purchased it and I would consider myself a power user.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are asking about the fanless i5 surface pro 2017, i can confirm that it runs way cooler than all the competition. I tried hp spectre 360 x2, asus 2 in 1, lenovo yoga 720 and this- surface pro runs cooler and best part- no fan noise! It does get warm in the back, but not like the asus i had where it was scorching hot to touch. Heck, this is even cooler than my 13' macbook pro ( late 2016 with touchbar). That thing get warmer than the surface pro on my lap, when i open like a 100 safari tabs. This, with chrome 100 tabs is less warm.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It stays mostly cool. It can warm up after hours of use but not hot.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Surface Laptop is different from this 2017 Surface Pro. But I've had the Surface Pro i5 for two weeks now and it has never run hot. Very comfortable to hold at all times. And it's fanless, so no fan noise.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It stays cool
