Hello there, The Surface Pro 3 has 5MP and 1080p HD front and rear-facing cameras which makes picture taking issue free. We hope this was helpful to you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi. There aren't any usage issues. Some people think that the Camera app quality is not as good as it was on the Windows 8.1 version. That said, Surface Pro 3 has an okay camera, the kind you would expect on a tablet. The problem is with post processing that is performed after the picture is taken. And this only started with Windows 10, which shows that it is a software issue. Microsoft should reduce the amount of post processing it does to the pictures. The camera quality is okay for short distance photography. So for your indoor photographs, it would be just fine in regular lit rooms. Photos are good for 8"x11" prints. I wouldn't rely on the quality of digital zoom or cropping photos later. Just take photos as you would use them. Video quality is good. Max recording quality is 1080p @ 30fps (front and back cameras). Works great for Skype Video. Hope this helps.
