• Hello there, The Surface Pro 3 tablet comes with a free trial of Office 365 which includes Microsoft Word. It does include another program that would allow you to produce a word document. I hope this was helpful to you.

• No. It doesn't have any such softwares preinstalled But you can always install other free office softwares.

• Wordpad would do that, though it's pretty bare bones. OpenOffice is a good free alternative that I know a lot of people use...
