• It works on MacBooks which is why I had to buy it. MacBooks only have USB-C slots.

• It works with all laptops with a USB-C port. I just connected it to my teenager's Macbook Pro (2016 or was it 2017?) that has a C port to give her direct ethernet connection for online/remote learning for school during the Coronavius pandemic.
