• No,it's a USB flash drive you can insert in one of the ports on your device. Then you can go to recovery options and install from there or you can reboot from the USB port that you are using

• it's on a memory stick super easy to install

• It is a USB thumb drive. Doesn't need to download from the Internet all the files are on the drive.
