Yes, upgrade. But, it will load Windows 10 from the internet (if it can, it will take a long time). The upgrade was very smooth.

When I downloaded Win 10 HOS I had problems because when I tried the free Win 10 it messed up my computer. The Win 10 HOS took 6 hours and I wasn't even half way thru it. I cancelled the download and the WIN 10 HOS automatically return my computer to Win 7 and repaired it in the process. My win 7 now works great and I can even get the monthly updates so I'm keeping it. (I was not impressed with Win 10). I'm holding onto the Win 10 HOS and will use it when Win 7 is ended by Microsoft.
