“Need to upgrade to Windows 10 (have Windows 7 now). I believe I need the Pro version because I need Excel and Publisher in additional to Word. When I upgrade, will I still be able to access my old Windows 7 documents?”

Windows 10 and Office are two different pieces of software. The version of Windows you have will not impact the use of your Office files. That will be decided by the version of Office you purchase. Office Professional 2019 and all versions of Office 365 include Excel, Word, and Publisher, as well as the rest of the Office suite.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You do not need Windows 10 Pro to use any of the Microsoft Office applications. Windows 10 Home will also work. You can access your old documents by navigating to the directory they are stored in an then opening them. The documents only need a version of office that will read them (or any document viewer).
