Oh welcome to why Microsoft stock is so expensive... I like most of the Microsoft products but hate how they stick the consumer with any cost possible. Yes, unfortunately, you will have to purchase a separate operating system for each computer; or you can purchase an operating system card that allows for multiple computers (cost is obviously more), last I checked it allowed the consumer to upgrade up to 5 separate computers. I recommend you have your mom try Windows 8 before purchasing it; I and everyone I work with find that 8 is an absolute pain. My mom hated it, and I had to pay $100 to remove 8 and put 7 on her laptop so that she would use it again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This product at first I was like I can't upgrade to from XP so I wasted my money but later I realized that if my computer is formatted and my computer has the capability to install windows 8.1 ... then the CD that comes with it be it either the 32 bit for older computers or 64 bit for newer computers allowed me to get windows up an running on computer to save PC with easy internet detection to get the drivers loaded and save PC for short tern resolution .... now later a new product key still need to be bought since only one key is for one pc !
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nope. keys are for ONE machine only.
