You buy it, and there's 2 disks in the box. 32 and 64.

The box contains installation discs for BOTH the 32 bit (x86) and 64 bit (x64) versions (it should also say as much on the box). The license key included in the box is valid for both versions. Just make sure you use the correct disc. There's nothing like getting halfway through the install process and realizing you inserted the wrong disc (32 bit when you wanted 64 bit).

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you buy the windows 8.1 pro it comes with both versions, the 32 bit and the 64 bit so you can use either of them. It recommends to start with the 32 bit version but you can simply install the 64 bit without doing this.
