The only way to find this out is to buy one and test if it still disconnects. There is no way to actually find out if it does because it will still connect to the xbox like it normally does it will not say connected to adapter as a controller. Best way is to buy one try it for a few days i think you have 15 or 30 days to return. I had issues with mine for pc not xbox but you chatbwith Microsoft amd they will answer your questions and maybe they can answer yours better
