HDMI?!? that's a WIRED multimedia peripheral used for transfering Video and Sound. It will not affect the function of a WIRELESS BT adapter in any possible way I can think off.

the adaptor is to plug into your pc usb port to allow you to use a xbox one wireless controller on your pc.

No HMDI needed, it uses a USB which goes from base station to Xbox for Power and a optical cable for the sound.
