• I would not use it on anything but carpet as it has nobs on the bottom which keep it secured on the carpet allowing your chair to move freely.

• It does have the spikes at the bottom of the mat to hold it in place for carpet. I would imagine this would damage hardwood floors. So, I would need the description details and not use this for hardwood.
