• I am not sure about the j-7, but we are having problems finding the micro USB to HDMI adapter. I believe we are going to upgrade to the wireless one so we no longer have any of the issues with all these cords

• The charging cable is your standard mini-USB that charges most android phones. As far as being compatible, the projector connects via HDMI; you could get a mirroring capable device (MS wireless display adapter, Chromecast etc.) and then stream that way....assuming the J7 is capable of mirroring as well of course.
