Hello Kim, Thank you for reaching out. We apologize for the difficulty you are experiencing with the MobiCam. When the device is displaying "offline" in the MOBI App it has lost its connection to the WiFi. Placing the Micro SD card in the device shouldn't affect the connection the device has with the WiFi. MobiCam is compatible with any Micro SD card ranging from 16GB to 128GB.
