Hello Kimmer, Thank you for reaching out. The two-way audio of the MobiCam should operate as designed whether you are close in range or a distance away. The MobiCam does operate on WiFi so ensuring that your connection/reception is 90% or better will provide a higher potential for the audio and video of the MobiCam to be at its best quality. To access this feature use the microphone to speak through. When done talking, release the microphone and you will gain access to hear the environment the MobiCam is surveilling including anything anyone says in that environment.
