Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, it would not. The opener must make contact with the bottle, the corkscrew itself is embedded in the cork, the machine then separates the two. The width of a champagne cork; being wider than the bottle neck, makes this impossible... your best hope would be to successfully separate the cork from itself, accomplishing nothing more than making a mess of things.
