The keyboard will be interacting with your laptop. However, it will not connect with the case and the case may block any smart connectors as far as magnets. However, you can definitely pair an approved BT keyboard to the iPad while it is in the case, just not physically connect the two. Hope this helps!

im not sure the only way a keyboard would attach would be if it doesnt reach to the corners of the ipad and it doesnt reach to far backwards on the ipad

Yes, it works perfectly with the Logitech wireless keyboard. Connects easy too.
