• Amplifiers are a mixed bag. Usually, the antenna will either pick up the signal or it won't. Depends on where you live (ie, how far away from the tv stations are you)? If you live in a city, the amplifier probably won't help. If not, you might want to try an amplified antenna.

• Totally depends on where you live as to if this is the antenna that you need. If you are witnin 25 miles of the towers no amplifier is needed and this is the antenna for you, if you are 25+ miles from the towers you may need to invest in an amplified antenna such as the Leaf 50 as opposed to purchasing a seperate amp for your Metro. Reach out to Mohu for a channel scan to see what antenna will work best for you.
