  • QuestionDoes the automatic amplification mess with signal from close stations?

    Asked by Bill.

    • Answer Hi Bill! Great question. With any amplified antenna, if you’re very close to the broadcast towers (usually within about 10 miles), the signals can be so strong that you don’t actually need the extra boost. In those cases, over-amplification can make reception less consistent. Because the Leaf Plus has built-in amplification that’s always on, you can’t disable that boost. If you’re in a strong-signal area, we usually recommend the Mohu Leaf 50 instead. It includes a separate amplifier that you can turn on or off depending on your location, so you get a lot more flexibility. If you’d like, we can help you check your signal strength to see which option will work best! Give us a call at 877-825-5572 or send our customer service team a message at [email protected].

    Asked by RECK.

    • Answer Hi there! You will need to purchase a 2-way splitter to split the signal to 2 TVs. Just about any retail or department store near you should have them. Any brand will work just fine.
