• Yes, you don't have to use the app. it has a button on top of the unit and you can change the settings manually. You swipe from left to right to change between 4 areas. It has very simple controls. The web site also has Support area and they will answer questions.

• Hi Sandy, it absolutely can. You can get the same functions out of the touchscreen on the top of the device. No app, wi-fi, or Bluetooth connection required.
