• Airconditioners should be plugged on the main socket. It may but would never recommend it.

• I really don't think it's safe for that... A/Cs, scanners, laser printers, power washers, refrigerators, etc... Power strips just typically are not built to withstand the consumption of these items. If you have an A/C you need plugged in, may I suggest speaking to an electrician to have them install an additional outlet in your home - if you're in an apartment, you may still be able to convince them you need an additional wall outlet. They'd rather that, than burning the complex down. :) I would review the power needed for your A/C and compare to the output of this strip - I'm sure you'll find it insufficient for your needs.
