Hi there! Our Moochies watches cannot SMS text message, however they can send emojis, as well as photo messages/voice messages, and these require data. The reason why we have not applied texting from the watch to the phone is because some customers and their little ones found the watch screen way too small to type on it, hence why you can only send photos and voice messages where your little ones have more freedom to physically say more vocally via voice recording themselves.
