This is definitely a problem. Very difficult to hear even in a quiet environment.

If I am to use phone for conference call, I use a booster box or headphones. The one place that the diminished column is a problem still is that the volume for ring to receive calls results in me often missing phone call though returning phone calls is not impossible. It is all outweighed by the extra charge and the case that protects my phone. By putting this case on, my S5 is no longer water proof.
