The juice pack will not pass the headphone audio signal from the iPhone out through its micro-USB connector, and cannot be used with an adapter. We recommend using Bluetooth® headphones.

You will use a micro USB now instead of the Apple lightening cord. It will charge both the unit and the phone. Also will allow for connection to your vehicle via micro USB
