• Do not buy the red unit. It is a P.O.S.. I bought one unit and exchange it since it was dead on arrival. The second unit was defective also.

• Yes, I have an iPad2, it will charge it. I am not sure how much or how long, but if you are running low, hook it up to the Mophie and it'll at the very least keep you up and running while hooked up, most likely keep charging you up as well.
