yes. it is a case with a battery inside. It make the phone a 1/8" thicker and about 1/4" longer top to bottom.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is just a front and a back of this case. It takes quite a bit of force to get the two halves together. Then it is waterproof. It takes a bit of prying to get them apart, too! The battery is thin and flat all across and down the back of the case. The whole thing seemed a little heavy when I first got it, but I am used to it now. Turning the ringer on and off is a little hard, but you will get used to it.

Please try again later.The iPhone slides into a slot on the Morphie case and the iPhone connects into a lightning connection attatched to the Morphie case and finally the top part of the morphie case connects to create a seamless seal. Yes the iPhone is a little bit thicker in appearance because the morphie case is not just a case but a case that has a battery in it. However in my opinion the case is not that thick looking and my iPhone has a long lasting battery life because of the reserve battery charge. The reserve battery is activated by a button on the back of the case it's self. I strongly recommend this case to anyone who uses their phone through the day!
