It is easily removed by sliding the case up or down off the phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is hard to separate the two halves but not impossible - they fit quite literally like a glove on iPhones. If you like to change your cases around frequently, maybe this isn't for you. But it is a great looking case and reliable product if you just want one on all the time for protection and power reserve. Previous model required an extension for headphone jack without which you had to pull it apart to pull out the plug but this model does not, it's slimmer at base, but some may want to still get an optional extension.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not sure what online reviews you've have read but this case is slim and the top slides off with a tight pull, you slide your phone into the case and then slide the top on. I know that the 4S iPhone battery case was extra protective so it came in 3 pieces. It was harder to put the phone into the case and take off but this new style is only two steps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's a 2 piece case. You take it off just as you would any other case.
